We had a great night on the 28th December in Charleville Park Hotel at our annual party. It was a wonderful night of music and dance and our special guests were our own Senior Grúpa Ceoil, who won second place at this year’s Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Sligo. They played their set and were presented with their medals in a beautiful presentation frame, designed by Sharon and Seamus Dunworth. Our U12, 12-15 and 15-18 groups and bands were also presented with their medals. One of the highlights of the night was when all musicians, from seniors down to our very young members, joined together for a session. Ultan Mulcahy led the dancing later in the evening and the dancefloor was packed with couples trying desperately to follow his steps!!
Many thanks to the more than 200 members who attended the night, to all who donated raffle prizes, to Ultan and to anyone else who helped out in any way. The great atmosphere and great fun had by all our members is a sign that our branch is very vibrant.
